Overdressed

This morning, I felt chilled. It was damp and windy out. So despite the fact that the thermometer was reading 50 degrees, I chose to wear a light long-sleeve shirt and light tights for my run. Have I learned nothing in all my years of running?! I should always start out my run feeling a little cold. That way, after about a mile, I feel just right. Didn't quite get that today, but that's OK. I ran the 6 mile extended Homeplace loop. Somehow I seemed to be running into the wind on both the out and back portion of the run, but despite that, the sun was warm, the winterberries looked a brilliant red against the greens and browns of the brush along the powerlines, and it was a good run.
