Five with Ryan

My parents are up visiting for the holidays, and today after lunch they happily hung out with Sam while Ryan and I went out for a run. Ah, these grandparent visits are wonderful! We actually get to run together :-) Hurray! Not to mention, it was 42 degrees today. A heat wave! Ryan threatened to wear shorts on our run, but decided against it :-) Still, it was nice not to have to bundle up! I wanted to get in a 5-miler this week, so we headed across the street and did the long loop through Highland Green. We saw a number of couples out walking and enjoying the nice afternoon as we ran along. The wind was in our faces on the way out, but on the way back with the wind at our back and the sun shining brightly, it seemed downright hot! It was great to be able to get another run in with Ryan, and although it was at a pretty slow pace with the start and finish on the powerlines and the wind, it felt good to get another longer run in this week!

We spent the rest of the day hanging out, cooking and eating and of course, taking lots of photos of Sam! Ryan and I were noting that we don't think we've ever taken so many indoor shots with our camera :-)
