Happenings

Last night, for the very first time, Sam went to sleep without me, Ryan or my parents putting her to bed. 100 Head Heart Feet was playing at Frontier, and there was no way we were going to miss it. So, I nervously asked our favorite babysitter Jessi if she would watch Sam for the evening. Sam seemed relatively non-plussed about the whole thing, and in fact, it sounds like bedtime was no issue at all. I am so happy! And it was great to get out, enjoy dinner at Frontier and watch the movie. The crew did a great job. The film was awesome, and it was a lot of fun to see Ryan, Zak, Lenka, Ian, Emma, Sarah and others up on the big screen :-)

This morning, after enjoying pretzels at the farmer's market and feeding Zippy, John's cat, we headed to the bike path. Ryan was going to get in a run and Sam wanted to ride her bike. She did really well, making it 1.5 miles - her longest ride yet! Of course, we did have to stop a few times for snack breaks, but hey, she's only 4, so I'll cut her some slack, and honestly, when she was riding fast I literally had to run to keep up! She is getting strong!

Happy biker

This gorgeous plant lined the edges of the woods along the bike path.
I'm thinking phlox but am not sure?
