Walking and Baking

Met up this morning with Amy to walk at Pineland. It was cold but not windy, and there was a surprising amount of snow in the woods. We walked the Oak Hill Loop, and the trails afforded great traction with the packed snow. There had been an amazing amount of deer traffic out there, but we didn't see a one. Must have been chatting away too loudly :) After we got to the end of the loop, we circled back and did the inner loop, ending up with a little under two hours and 6 miles. Then we headed to the market for yummy bagels and coffee before heading home. It was great to catch up with Amy, as always, and a good way to start the day!

The rest of the day was spent doing things around the house and finishing up our Christmas shopping and wrapping, along with a bit of baking. Sam had a lot of fun making these sugar cookies and if they don't give you a sugar rush with all the sprinkles, I don't know what will :)
