To The Beach

Everyone was slow to get up this morning. Good thing it's vacation and the beach can wait 😄 I got out around 9:15 for a run around the River Landing block. Still a bit breezy but warmer and muggier this morning. Not a whole lot of wildlife sightings, even along the berm. Saw two cormorants, a number of turtles and ran through a few hordes of gnats 😉 (6.3 miles)

We hit the beach around lunchtime and although temps were warmer than last week, the wind was quite brisk and strong and the water was really choppy. There was no playing in the water and although we took a short walk up the beach and played in the sand for a bit, it was a short visit. Of course, once we got up off the exposed stretch of beach, temperatures rose at least 10 degrees and we were ready for a final trip for Boombalatti's! 😃🍦
