End of May

Wednesday, I headed out at 6:00 am for a run on the cart paths. Legs and lungs felt heavy thanks to allergies and no running for the past two days but the air was sweet with the smells of lilacs and honeysuckle. Lovely. (6.0 miles)

Thursday was a 4:00 pm run on the Topsham Crossing lolypop. Heavy, honeysuckle filled air. Didn’t feel super lively but got it done. (6.0 miles)

Friday, I headed out to get downtown at 8:00 on the dot so I could get some strawberries at the farmer's market! Priorities, people 😂🍓 then got some work and errands done before heading to get my 2nd shingles shot. Which meant I didn't head out until around 4:00 pm for a run. Nice afternoon. After shingles shot #2. Hoping to not feel terrible tomorrow but we shall see… also the momma groundhog has been bringing her three babies around - they are so cute 🤩- and the iris is in bloom out front. (6.0 miles)

Well, Saturday was a total wash. It was pretty much spent entirely on the couch. Truly wiped out, by a darn shot no less! Aie. Definitely made me cranky, but there wasn't much to do about it.

Thankfully after a decent sleep, by Sunday morning, I was feeling better so I got up and headed over to the Commons, as I definitely needed to do more ladyslipper counting! Headed out from the field house at 9:00 am. Not feeling very peppy but was happy to get out and slowly wander around counting ladyslippers (264 seen!), taking photos, enjoying the Pennelville fields, the ocean views and the scents of honeysuckle in the air. Saw Karen and Mandy, and then Zak! (12.0 miles)

Here are the May stats:
