Day got away from me on Tuesday, but I wanted to get in some movement for the day, so went out for a late night in the dark walk around the school block walk at 6:30 pm. (2.0 miles walked)
Did see a lovely double rainbow on the way home from work though!!
Then Wednesday was a foggy and dark run at 5:30 am on the Highland Green streets. (6.0 miles)
Nice afternoon for a run on Thursday, if a bit breezy. Legs felt very sluggish. Ran through the Bath cemeteries during Sam's swim practice. (6.0 miles)Then after practice, it was over to Mom and Dad's for Indian food for dinner since Kristen was in town for Nancy's celebration of life this weekend. A yummy treat for dinner and a treat to have her in town too! 😊
Friday, I was rushing around attempting to get all the errands done so that I could pick Sam up at 2:00 from work and we could head down to MA for the event. This meant that I left myself a bit too small of a window for running to get in more than the minimum. Sigh. Headed out on the powerlines and then came back on the roads. Love the red leaves of the blueberry bushes at this time of year. (6.0 miles)
Ryan had been out of town all week and was meeting us out in Springfield, so Sam and I drove out with Mom, Dad and Kristen. There was a lot of traffic! Ugh! Made it in time to meet up with Ryan for dinner at 6:45 and then headed back to the hotel where we met up with family in the rather cheesy hotel bar.
All of the Raymond sbilings were there, as were many of my cousins. Scott and Val had come in from CA, Geoff up from TN, Kristen from TX, Lillie from OR, Sarah and Tom, Susie, Theresa and Dave from ME like us, Sean, Marisa and the boys from France, Alex and Laura from CO. Larry had the full family support 💗 One of Nancy's friends said to me on Saturday night that it is obvious that we all like each other, and it's true. I know it's unusual these days, but there is a genuine love between all of us, even if we don't see each other all the time and despite different family circumstances. It was really great to see everyone, although for my introvert self it was also tiring 😉😜 Finally made it up to bed around 10:30 pm.
Decided to get up early for a run before the day started on Saturday. Headed out at 7:00 am as the sky was lightening from the hotel to wander the quiet suburban streets. Also ran through an abandoned business park, as I thought I could get through to another set of neighborhoods but all gated up. Eerie back there. One deer and one black squirrel. Lots of stops to look at the map. (6.1 miles)
The celebration life and subsequent gathering at Nancy's sister's house were really nice, but of course, the only photos I have from the day are of Susie, Kristen, Lillie, Sarah and I in the bathroom at the resturant. Scott took some more formal photos of the family so I'll probably have those eventually but still, this is it for now - classic 😆😆
We headed out at 7:00 am on Sunday as Ryan had to be at the airport by 2:00 pm in the afternoon for yet another work trip 😝😜 so after lunch and a bit of work, I headed out around 3:00 pm for a tired run down to the river and back. As already noted, it was great to see the extended family but also tiring. Didn't have the energy for more miles. (6.0 miles)
