Gardens & Rain & 2nd Christmas

Headed out on Tuesday morning for a run on the powerlines. Damp, foggy, mild with a lot of squishy mud. (8.0 miles)

Then later in the afternoon, we headed up to the Botanical Gardens for our rescheduled Gardens Aglow. Probably the warmest evening yet! Amazing as always - they truly do a spectacular job, and SO.MANY.LIGHTS - and the lights were bright and cheerful despite the fog. 🌟💗🎄(1.5 miles walked)

Many neat mushrooms this year

Selfie with troll 😎

The baby troll was lit up this year!

So many flowers!

Loved the hummingbird!

Neat lighthouse and puffin scene on the main green

Went into work on Wednesday in an attempt to not get completely behind 😜but only stayed until 2:00, at which point I headed home to get in a run before it got dark. Ran the Highland Green loop, but cut off the muddy road section and ran holes 6 and 7 instead for mushy gravel instead 🤪 Misty rainy mild. Not the nicest out, but not the worst. Felt very clunky. Maybe that afternoon piece of holiday carrot cake at work was not the best idea 😂😂(6.0 miles)

Thursday was just a straight up nasty rainy day. Went into work again but kind of just said 'screw it' to the run. Sam hung out with Anne and Abby in the afternoon, and it was fun to hear their laughter when I got home 😊

Friday, I headed out for my run reasonably early as the to-do list for the day was long. A random route around town with a mix of roads and trails. Misty rainy yuck. (8.0 miles)

Then it was off to get the errands done, house cleaned, laudry washed, dried and put away, banana bread made, bags packed and an early dinner ready to go before Sam's high school swim meet up in Lewiston, Sam swam well despite only one day of practice this week, and then after a quick stop at McDonald's, we drove south to Ryan's parents for 2nd Christmas. We arrived around 10:30, and I pretty much headed straight to bed while Ryan and Sam helped Irene and Dana get the stockings stuffed and the presents out under the tree once the boys had finally fallen asleep. They finally came down to bed around midnight. 😴😴😴

Saturday was a fun day filled with presents, food, laughter and games, and of course a little bit of chaos 😆😄I had contemplated running, but it was yet another cold, rainy day, so I took it as a sign to relax and enjoy the day instead.

💗🎄🎅

Cam made Ryan his own Survivor idol and torch - so cute!

Merry Christmas!
