Chalk Pond Fun

Tuesday, Ryan and I did an after dinner work. 6:30 pm and still very gooey out. (2.6 miles walked)

Wednesday, I ran on the roads around town at 5:50 am. Misty and cool but still humid. (6.0 miles)

Ryan headed down to MA on Wednesday late afternoon to meet up with his parents for dinner and then hang out with Neal, Kendra, James, Heidi and George before they headed up to NH on Thursday. Thursday morning, I headed out on the powerlines for a run filled with blueberries, raspberries and wood lilies. Love it, but the air was oh so heavy! (6.0 miles)

Then I ran around and got some errands and things done around the house, got us all packed up and we headed down to Old Orchard Beach to pick up Lauren and head over to Chalk Pond ourselves. We arrived late afternoon and headed down to check out the pond, and of course, the girls wasted now time in getting right into the hot tub! 😂😊 It was fun to see James, Heidi and George, and George is such a cutie!

Ryan and Neal headed out to golf on Friday morning and I headed out around 7:00 for a run. There was no air movement with a thick fog settled low and very high humidity. I ran up through the trails to Baker Hill and no hill work in my running whatsoever made for a very slow, soggy Sparkplug 🤪😂 but always fun to run someplace different! From there, I headed down to the edge of Lake Sunapee on the roads and then up and over Sunset Hill. Too foggy for views anywhere. Two red efts seen. The pond felt good on my legs after the run. (10.0 miles)

The fog lifted closer to lunchtime, the sun came out and the girls wasted no time enjoying the water! It was a chill afteroon with others trickling in later in time for dinner.

We took the dogs for a walk around 5:45 before dinner. Still humid. Found (and moved) a cute baby snapping turtle off the dirt road. (1.2 miles walked)

Saturday around 9:00 am, Vicky, Michael, Ryan and I headed out for a loop up over Sunset Hill and back on bear alley trail. It was 1000% humidity and foggy. Fun to run with friends even if I was the slow link on the downhills 🤪 Saw at least two dozen red efts 🤩 Ran an extra loop around the pond after and then jumped in the water. The water was lovely! (8.0 miles)

The rest of the day was spent relaxing and people in and out of the house and water. Always fun to see everyone!

Sunday morning was foggy and humid yet again. I chose to forgo the run in favor of a walk with Dan and Neal and the dogs around the pond, after which we packed up and headed out. (1.3 miles walked)

Then, after dropping off Lauren and getting things all unpacked and laundry started, it was a late afternoon run out on the powerlines. Humid but breezy and not hot. Many good blueberry stops. (10.0 miles)
