Senior Year

Tuesday was the first day of school. Senior year, and so it begins, the last of the firsts... I'm not crying, you're crying... 😉😊💖

Also got Sam's senior photos back and they're lovely 😍 Kadence did a great job.

After Sam left for school, I headed into work and reminded myself that I need to take school traffic into account again in the mornings 😉😂 Ryan and I got out for a walk after work and before dinner. (2.6 miles walked)

Wednesday was a run on the cart paths at 6:15 am. Very gooey out. (6.0 miles)

Thursday was a 5:00 pm run down to Topsham Crossing back. Muggy. (I see a theme here...) (6.0 miles)

Friday, I got out all the errands done before my 11:00 work call, then did some more work and finally got out at 4:00 pm for a run down to the river and back. Nice out, if a bit warm. Love all the cotton sedge in the Heath. (6.0 miles)

And out back, the four fox kits are growing up fast. And are still oh so cute 💗🦊

Saturday was an afternoon run on the powerlines. Lovey out. (10.0 miles)

Sunday, I got out early for a wander on the roads and trails around town. Bright, breezy and so lovely to have cooler temps! (12.0 miles)

Then after lunch, Kristen and Cutter picked us up and we headed downtown to Moderation for a few hours, chatting and catching up. And since we were hungry, we met Sam over at Flight Deck for an early dinner of pizza. A fun afternoon! 🍻

Monday was the Labor Day holiday. Unfortunately, all three of us had work to do so it was a pretty boring day of sittig at the computer and catching up! We did have a nice dinner at Mom and Dad's though to wrap up the long weekend.

Tuesday was a long day at work - 5:30 pm meetings are crap 😂😜😑 - so I got up and out for a walk before the work day just to get a bit of movement. (2.0 miles walked)

Wednesday was a 6:00 am run on the cart path. Pretty sky. (6.0 miles)

Thurday was a 4:45 pm run down to the river and around. Summer still lingers - it was a warm September afternoon. (6.0 miles)

Friday was much of the same, a 4:00 pm run down to the river again. Lovely out but I was dragging 😜 (6.0 miles)

Then Ryan and I met up with Nate and Shannon for dinner at Paolo's. It was great to see them and have a chance to catch up!

Saturday was an early afternoon wander with a mix of road, Cathance singletrack and some powerlines. Really lovely afternoon but I was really low energy. Stopped and talked to a mom and two small kiddos down by the river and the little girl gifted me an acorn to put in my pocket to bring home to give to the squirrels 😂 Also walked for a few minutes with Ryan who was out golfing. (9.1 miles)

Sunday, I was up and out at 7:00 am for a run on the Topsham Crossing lollypop. Humid with spitting rain. One deer, five turkeys. (6.0 miles)

Then it was off to Bradbury to volunteer at Snowman's aid station for the morning. Always fun to catch up with friends and cheer on the runners as they came through, even if it was a rather dreary, wet day for it. And as the tent got more and more saturated and things got wetter and wetter, we had the chance to see how M&Ms react 😝😉😂
