Sam with her two best grandmothers :)
I started out the day with a lovely misty run out through the Commons and Coleman Farm. The woods were quiet and still not much is blooming, although out in Coleman Farm where there is more sun the trails are lined with trout lilies, many of which are not yet blooming but which are greening the ground nicely!
Mist covered spider webs dotting the rhodora bushes in the pitch pine forest in the Commons this morning
Color! Daffodils blooming along the pond out in Coleman Farms
Trout lily. One of my favorites.
One clump of beautiful red trillium blooming out in the woods
Got in a very nice, mellow 7 miles to start the morning and came home to pancakes and bacon. Can't beat that :) Also received a sweet card from Sam, along with this. Her handwriting is so neat! And I love her descriptions. I am a lucky day :)
So cute :)
We spent the rest of the day cleaning out and organizing the loft, which had become a bit of a dumping ground this winter. We reworked the configuration a bit of there and it looks quite nice! Not your typical Mother's Day fun but a good thing to knock off the list!
