Monday was a zero day with a packed day at work and then a Freedom Tour meeting in the evening for Sam. It’s a Y program that works with local schools to send kids on a weeklong trip to see historic sites - think Gettysburg, the DC memorials, etc. - which sounds like a great, exhausting experience and sort of like camp on the move! I think she is going to have a lot of fun! For Sam’s school, the trip is over April vacation.
Tuesday, I actually named to get up and out in the early morning darkness, a small miracle actually π Ran the Highland Green road loop. A calm, cool morning with a nice glow on the horizon and a sliver of moon above. (6.1 miles)
Spent the evening after work making pumpkin and banana bread and getting laundry done and the house cleaned so we could be ready to head down to Mass on Wednesday morning.
Didn’t sleep well and Ronnie was yowling in the early morning hours, so I was up at 5:00 for some coffee and breakfast before I headed out for my run. Ran out on the Powerlines, dodging ice and picking through the heavy leaves and trying to not turn an ankle on the hoar frost-y needle icy semi-frozen sand π But, pretty morning and even if I was sort of puttering along, it’s nice to feel like the legs are coming around a bit! (7.0 miles)
Sam and I decorated the apple pies! ππ
Ryan is skeptical of the gluten free crust π
Me too! Me too! π
Thursday morning, I snuck out for a road run before getting back to help with the rest of the cooking to be done for the afternoon Thanksgiving meal. Ran the Weldon Farm road loop with a bit added on to make a slighly larger loop. Bring on the turkey and pie! (6.5 miles)
Then it was onto working on stuffing, potatoes, squash and gravy before our traditional "lunch" of crackers and cheese before we settled down for a delicious meal! Happy Thankgiving!

Yum!
THANKSGIVING!
We took a late afternoon walk around the block post-dinner and pre-pie, in an attempt to get the boy's energy out, which I'm not sure was successful πbut it was good to get out! (1.3 miles walked)
Totally using the neighbor's lawn ornaments for a photo op π and Cam's face! π
So mischevious! π
So nice to have the chance to be together!πππ
And after the tree was up and all decorated, we got out for a short walk around the block, in yet another attempt to avert boredom amd release some energy. Whether it was successful is doubtful, however π (1.25 miles walked)
Of course, there was a fair amount of silliness, laugher and many games played over the holiday too. Always a bit chaotic with the boys around, but always fun!
Bingo!

I am nuts ππ Yup, indeed...
I got up and out around 7:30 this morning for a run on the cart paths and down to the river and back. Nice, calm morning to be out. And I was tired. (8.0 miles)
