Late Afternoon Adventures

Around 4:30 on Sunday afternoon, Ryan decided he needed to move his legs, so after a bit of excitement with a new backyard visitor - groundhog! - we headed across the street for a walk on the powerlines. Lots of mosquitos swarming, a good walking stick obtained, some nice flowers blooming and multiple dandelion puff-balls blown into the air. A nice later afternoon meander to stretch our legs! (1.6 miles walked)

Gigi on alert!

We were moving too slowly apparently 😆

Some sort of chokeberry?

White swamp violets

Rhodora

One of the perks of Ryan's new job is that his schedule is flexible so Monday after we got home, I suggested we drive down to Skofield Shores in Harpswell for a short walk to the ocean's edge. It was such a beautiful day, I didn't want to waste it. I had hoped we might see some horseshoe crab spawning but the tide was too far out for that. Still, it was a gorgeous early evening to be out, our hair blowing in the wind, wandering the shoreline, smelling the salt air and enjoying the time together. (0.6 miles walked)

Maine shoreline. Maine kid. Bright sunshine.

Love this view

Seal? Raccoon? Fox? Whatever it was, neat find!

Life's short. Walk down to the ocean. Eat ice cream for dinner. Even on a Monday.
Or maybe, especially on a Monday 💕
