The Couch

22 years old, well loved and well used, threadbare and worn, with holes in both back corners, stained and covered in cat hair, our couch had served us well and we decided it was finally time for a replacement. With delivery set for last Thursday at noon, we had the dump guys come and pick up the old couch Wednesday, figuring we could last one night without a couch and knowing that would be easier than having two couches in our small living room space once the new one arrived.

But of course, in typical fashion, I received a call right at the end of the delivery window on Thursday saying the delivery guy had gotten injured and that all deliveries for the day were being pushed until Tuesday. sigh. πŸ™ŠπŸ™ˆπŸ™‰

So, we improvised...

I mean who needs a couch when you've got camp chairs? πŸ˜‰πŸ˜† #classic

At least the cats approved... 😸

We made it through the long weekend, and my parents were good sports about it πŸ˜ƒ

Thankfully the couch arrived on Tuesday morning as promised and it looks great! Even the cushions are lovely.

Of course, the cats, being the critical creatures that they are, were not impressed...

...and it wasn't until last night that they actually decided things were OK and joined us up on the couch after dinnerπŸ˜ΉπŸ˜‰ #aslongasthecatsarecomfy
